Considered deleting journals, because I dislike past selves.  I figure, though, in 10 years or so when I'm not stuck in a clusterfuck of self-doubt and second guessing, that I might appreciate evidence of who I was. Just because I don't appreciate it now, doesn't mean I won't in the future.  Circa 2014:  ANU, 3rd year. Intermediate French Job: awful. Boyfriend: wonderful.  Status: avoiding an essay due today at 4. Better get on to that.

I just realised how much I miss Australia. I mean, I love living here but there are so many things I want back! - my little sister and my mum so so so so so much :( - my extended family: aunts and uncles, grandparents, cousins... - dogs: charlie, gypsy, audi, maddy, saxon <3 - the beautiful town where I lived in the middle of bloody nowhere up some big-ass mountains. - gumtree rainforests within walking distance, and the beach at woopi - seeing kangaroos on the grass after school - being able to talk to my really cool friends from woopi... including bus buddies. - organic food, sourdough bread, our own eggs, vegetarian cooking, f

So I'm in London working with the  vinvolved project situated in Greenwich, basically a volunteering project aimed at the empowerment of disadvantaged youths, and offering skills to help with future employability. What's more, I am suddenly the editor of our quarterly magazine, I'm designing a banner for our e-newsletter, I'm writing compressed articles and I'm going to be participating in our 'Twelve Days of Christmas Volunteering". Oh, and I am going to learn office work. ... and yes, I am scared. I feel like I suddenly have to grow up and get stuff together. Basically this is absolutely brilliant experience, but I'm definitely going to

:la: I saw your forum topic about cool places in London, have you been round Camden yet? Or Chinatown? The V&A? Actually, you can just walk around and people watch. :XD: Southbank's good for that, where there's all the crazy performers. And around Covent Garden, there's some great shops. (Octopus is expensive, but entertaining.)
Yeah I've been to Camden but I'm kind of poor so I can't really buy anything, I'm saving all my money to buy a bitchin' dress for this summer. I've seen a lot of markets, SPittlefields, Brick Lane, Convent, Borough markets. Good stuff! If I had more money it would be cool

Think I've seen chinatown, that's near Soho, yes? Oh, soho! If only.

Never been to southbank or V&A, what're they like?
